This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms “we”, “us”, and “our website” refer to Howddy and the terms “you” and “your” refer to you, as a user of Howddy.com. Our business and website are not intended for children / minor i.e., a person aged under 18 years as per the law of the land and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children / minor. It is important that you read this privacy policy together with the terms and conditions present on the website along with any other privacy policy or fair processing policy we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This privacy policy supplements other notices and privacy policies and is not intended to override them.

Howddy uses information, that is collected to analyze how the Service is used, to diagnose service or technical problems, maintain security, personalize content, remember information to help you efficiently, access your account, monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns, and track User Content and users as necessary to comply with the Copyright and Information Act, Information Technology Act 2000; Regulation 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Information) Rules, 2011 (the “SPI Rules”);  Regulation 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011 and other applicable laws of India.

IV. THE DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data). We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

a. Identity Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth and gender.

b. Contact Data includes billing address, delivery address, email address and telephone numbers.

c. Financial Data includes bank account and payment card details- we don’t store any password or such pin numbers- or details which can be utilized in a wrong manner.

d. Transaction Data includes details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have availed from us.

e. Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access our website.

f. Profile Data includes your username and password, services availed by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.

g. Usage Data includes information about how you use our website, services, including GPS location of vehicles you rent from us.

h. Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

i. Licensing Data includes your driving licence details and proof of address.

Apart from the above, we also collect, use and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you which includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data. Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences save for driving offences.

1. If you fail to provide personal data

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with our services). In this case, we may have to cancel the service you have availed but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

V. USER-PROVIDED INFORMATION

You provide us information about yourself, such as your name and e-mail address or the information as mentioned under IV (a to i). Your name and other information that you choose to add to your profile will be available for public viewing on the Service. In the future, you may provide us with your mobile phone number. We may use your email address to send you Service-related notices (including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail).We may also use your contact information to send you marketing email messages. If you do not want to receive such messages, you may opt out by following the instructions in the message. If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the content of your email messages, your email address and our responses.

If you use your Facebook, Twitter, or other social networking site (“SNS”) account information to sign in to Howddy, we will collect and store your SNS user ID, and other information that you explicitly allow us to access when using an SNS login. Please be ensured that the passwords or other login passcodes will not be stored.
